This policy explains what personal data Aegis Drive collects, why we collect it and what you can do about it. It follows India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
Who we are
Aegis Drive builds driver assistance (ADAS), driver monitoring (DMS) and tyre pressure (STARS) systems. We are based in India. For anything about this policy, write to team@aegisdrivelimited.com.
What we collect on this website
When you use our contact form we collect what you choose to give us:
- Your name and email address
- Your phone or WhatsApp number and organisation, if you add them
- Who you are (for example, fleet operator or car owner) and your fleet size
- Your message
Our hosting provider also keeps basic technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure and working.
What our products collect
Our products are built to collect as little personal data as possible.
- No video is recorded. Our systems look for warning signs as they happen. Nothing is filmed or stored.
- No face recognition. We never try to identify who is driving.
- Driver monitoring data stays in your vehicle. It is never recorded or sent to us.
Where a product includes fleet features, it may record safety alerts, trip details and vehicle location during an alert or emergency. This is used to run the service for the vehicle’s owner.
Why we use your data
- To reply to your enquiry and talk to you about our products
- To deliver safety alerts and emergency help
- To run fleet dashboards for the owners of those vehicles
- To keep our products and this website safe, working and improving
Our legal basis
We process personal data with your consent, which you give when you send us the contact form or start using our products. We may also process data without consent where the DPDP Act allows it, such as responding to a medical emergency or meeting a legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal data. We only share it with:
- The owner or operator of the vehicle, for their own vehicles
- Emergency contacts or services, when an SOS is raised
- Service providers who help us run our website and services, under strict contracts
- Authorities, when the law requires it
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires. After that, we delete it.
How we protect it
We use encryption, access controls and secure infrastructure to protect personal data. Only people who need the data to do their job can access it.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- Ask us to correct, complete, update or delete your data
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Nominate someone to act on your behalf
- Raise a grievance with us and, if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India

Drivers and fleet owners
When our products are fitted to a fleet, the fleet owner decides how they are used. Fleet owners must tell their drivers which safety and driver monitoring systems are fitted to the vehicle and what they do.
Children
This website and our products are not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Grievance Officer
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer at team@aegisdrivelimited.com with the subject “Grievance”. We will acknowledge your complaint and resolve it within the time the law requires.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If the changes are significant, we will make that clear on this page.
